MGBOWO WARD IN AWGU SOUTH CONSTITUENCY - A CRY FOR JUSTICE COME 2023.

Let Justice, Equity & Fairness Reign in Awgu South 2023. 

Following the political history of Awgu South leadership positions held across the six wards, ranging from the Local Government Chairman position, State House of Assembly and at the National Assembly level. 

The voice of fairness, equity and justice is calling on all PDP Stakeholders to consider Mgbowo Ward for State House of Assembly come 2023 to complete the remaining four years Mgbowo Ward was denied in 2003. 

Below are the Wards and persons that has occupied leadership positions in Awgu South: 

1. *MGBOWO WARD.*

(i) Hon. Chukwuma Orjiokpara 

State House of Assembly (1999-2003) only four years of one term, Mgbowo Ward was denied of her 2nd term for State House of Assembly in 2003.

(ii) Since the creation of Awgu LGA, Mgbowo Ward has never produced Council Chairman till date. 

2. *AWGU WARD ONE*

(i) Hon. Emmanuel Maduabuchi (Angle 90)

State House of Assembly (2003-2011), eight good years in the State House of Assembly.

(ii) Awgu Ward 1 has produced Council Chairman in the person of Hon. Joe Ani.

3. *AWGU WARD TWO.*

(ii) Hon. Nelson Uduji

State House of Assembly (2011- 2019), Eight good years in the State House of Assembly. 

(ii) Awgu Ward Two is currently the Council Chairman of Awgu LGA in the person of Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo (2020 till date) 

4. *OBEAGU WARD.* 

(i) Obeagu Ward has produced Member Federal House of Representatives in the person of Hon. John Ikemefuna. 

5. *MGBIDI/MMAKU WARD*

(ii) Mgbidi-Mmaku Ward has produced a two term Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area in the person of Augustine Chukwuobasi (1999-2003). 

(ii) Mgbidi-Mmaku Ward has produced Member Federal House of Representatives in the person of Hon. Uchenna Ekwe. 

(iii) Mgbidi-Mmaku Ward again produced Hon. Johnson Chukwuobasi 

State House of Assembly (2019-2023).  

6. *ANIKENANO/UGWUEME WARD* 

(i) Anikenano/Ugwueme Ward has produced a two term Council Chairman of Awgu LGA in the person of Hon. Nnana Nze. A Local Government Chairman position for four years has placed Anikenano/Ugwueme Ward far ahead of Mgbowo Ward that has never produced a Council Chairman, yet was denied of her 2nd term House of Assembly position in 2003. 

We want all the PDP Stakeholders in Awgu South to take note, that from every indication and from whichever perspective, Mgbowo Ward is not fairly treated in the elective positions in Awgu South, vertually all the six wards enjoyed different elective positions at the local government level, state level and at the federal level as well, but Mgbowo Ward is been marginalized in the area of elective positions in Awgu South. 

Honestly speaking, justice, equity and fairness is calling for Mgbowo Ward to be given the mandate of four years to represent Awgu South to complete her 2nd tenure which we were denied in 2003 for the sake of justice.

EDU GLOBAL EXCOS PAY COURTESY VISIT TO SOME OF HER WELL MEANING INDIVIDUALS, DISCUSS SOME REMOTE ISSUES BORDERING THE COMMUNITY

 

The avalanche of Eziobodo Development Union GLOBAL Excos Led by the *PG* after her Executive meeting deemed it fit to pay a condolence visit to HRH IGWE Willie Ibe, to condole with him and his entire family on the death of his beloved wife.

The Excos further proceeded to Chief Nwosu Umahi, Maj. Gen. JN Nwoga and Chief. Amobi Edeh for a courtesy visit, as vital Developmental matters were discussed to move Eziobodo Mgbowo forward.

It was indeed a nostalgic outing as the personalities responded positively to the developmental matters discussed, pledged their contributions and supports to keep the train moving for the general good of the general people of Eziobodo Mgbowo and Mgbowo at large.

*EKPULATO MGBOWO AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY TOWN UNION HAILS GOV. IFEANYI UGWUANYI'S UNCOMMON LEADERSHIP IN ENUGU STATE.*

 

On 29th March 2022, a 9-Man Care-taker Committee for Ekpulato Mgbowo Town Union was inaugurated. Nze Columbus I. Udeh was appointed the acting President General.

The inauguration was performed by the Commissioner for Rural Development, Enugu State, Hon. Prince Chukwuemeka, Mamah, with the powers bestowed on him, by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt Hon Dr Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

In his acceptance speech the acting President General, of Ekpulato Mgbowo, Town Union on behalf of the Care-taker Committee and Ekpulato Mgbowo in general, applauded His Excellency the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for his leadership acumen and pledged Ekpulato Mgbowo total support and unalloyed loyalty to his administration.

He promised that by the grace of God, the Care-taker Committee shall keep the flag flying and in good order.

He solicited that all hands should be on deck, so that we can deliver on the needed mandate of positive partnership between our communities and the State Government. 

Ekpulato Mgbowo appreciate our dear Governor once again for always sticking by the rules and tenets of Democracy in handling the affairs of Ndi-Enugu state. 

We also appreciate the Honourable Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon Prince Chukwuemeka Mamah, for his kind, tolerant disposition, diligence towards duty and magnanimous wisdom in handling the affairs of his office. 

Our appreciation equally goes to our own compatriots serving in the noble people oriented administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi namely: Hon Prince Humphrey Umezuluike Onyima Njoku (Ebube Mgbowo) the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Enugu State on Media and Public Affairs, Capacity Technical Assistant to the Executive Governor of Enugu State on Media and Strategic Communications, Hon. Onuorah Ndubuisi Godwin, our dear sister and daughter Mrs. Ego Ajah, the Education Secretary in Awgu, and our Traditional Ruler - HRH Igwe Gregory Ituma. 

By God's Special grace, leadership have returned in Ekpulato Mgbowo Town Union. We shall however, seek for Government assistance as the need arise.

Even as this administration have partnered with our brilliant sons and daughters to bring about services and leadership to our dear State, We are sincerely hopeful that such partnership having permeated our communities, must begin to yield in return, the desired progenies of mutual cooperation, dedication and unshakeable solidarity for the peace and progress of our beloved Ekpulato Mgbowo Autonomous Community in particular and Enugu State at large.

EDUCATION REVAMP:JUBILATION ROCKS MGBOWO COMMUNITY AS CONASTONE WEST AFRICA LTD, OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP TO MGBOWO PUPILS IN COMMEMORATION OF THE COMPANY'S FIRST ANNIVERSARY.

 

It was indeed a nostalgic event as an Mgbowo born Entrepreneur, a Philanthropist and a humble cum capacity CEO Conastone West Africa LTD Mr. Columbus Eze offers Scholarship to Mgbowo pupils who made it to the list after the Debate and quiz competition Organized by the capable hands of the students constituency.

I also wish to specially thank all the eight primary schools in MGBOWO for bringing their representatives for the competition.

My purpose for embarking on this project of giving the less privilege but intelligent children the opportunity to attend school freely and comfortable like every other child are:

*To unite MGBOWO , awaken the onye ahala nwanneye and OHAIRE  spirit that made it possible for anybody in trouble to receive help immediately he mention the word "AAAA MGBOWO WOO'...*

*To discover the passionate, talented, intelligent and hard-working kids among us and save them young.*

*To change the common and popular competition amongst our people from  who will build the finest house to who build the finest youth.*

*From who drives the biggest car to who create the biggest job in Mgbowo.*

*From who wears the most expensive clothes to who genuinely love, care and clothe the less previledged amongst us.*

*To show our appreciation to our people for their support towards the success of our business .*

```The competition went so well that eight children (one from each school)

emerge the winner and beneficiary of a scholarship to study all through secondary School  WAEC inclusive

but something remarkable happened that change the outcome .```

A student from town school and another from Amiyi that couldn't make it just because of a point  displayed the kind of passion, commitment and hunger for education and success by crying uncontrollably, It was very emotional for everyone to the extent that it awaken the philanthropist spirit of *Chief EMMA IBE* who offered one of them scholarship from his pocket, my brother and friend *Ibekwe Augustine* who is even still a student prove that we all have something to offer for the betterment of our society by offering the other student five thousand naira ,the winner Ten thousand Naira and other school materials respectively.

Looking back at how this event went down sincerely made me proud individual of this great town MGBOWO. May the fire we all started never die, you all renewed and rekindle my hope and confident that our generation will restore MGBOWO to and above her glory days.

After some deliberation my team and I decided to include the remaining student from town school to benefit from the scholarship making it a total of nine Students.

I have also picked a personal interest in her for her display of passion for education at such an early age.

We all have something to give to humanity starting from love, advise , kind words , knowledge , encouragement etc and not  necessarily money. 

My mother once told me that those waiting to be rich before helping others will never help. 

Join us on this journey of  contributing to the betterment of our children, communities and humanity by giving from the little God blessed you with, there's a popular saying ```"blessed is the hand that giveth"``` for the only way to have peace is by giving others peace.

Challenge God through charity and watch HIM handle your challenges. No charity shall ever decrease wealth.
